Stobi wines win awards at Sommelier Wine Awards

We are delighted to announce that three wines from the Stobi collection of red wines have won Bronze awards in The Sommelier Wine Awards 2014 (SWA).The Stobi Syrah Barrique, 2011 vintage is a beautiful example of this classic grape with its inviting deep colour. Featuring aromas of blackberry and raspberry with a twist of spice this wine has real appeal. The Stobi Vranec, 2011 and Stobi Vranec Veritas Reserve, 2011, are both made with the Vranec grape which is indigenous to the Balkans region where Stobi’s Macedonia Winery is situated. The Vranec Veritas reserve is Stobi’s premium wines made with lower yielding grapes which mean that before the vines bloom, most of the grapes are removed leaving the last cluster to mature without competition producing a wine which is full bodied, deep in colour, rich in flavour with a fine tannic.
