Some of our favourite Stobi reviews

We’re always thrilled when people take the time to write lovely things about the wines we wholesale and distribute in the UK, and to say thank you we’ve highlighted some of our favourite reviews and comments below. It really does make our day to read your wonderful feedback, so please keep sharing your thoughts with us!

“The Stobi Syrah Barrique is a fine example of this classic grape with its rich deep colour. It has appealing aromas of blackberry and raspberry with a twist of spice. It is vibrant and beautifully balanced with refined tannins and a long finish.” Field and Fawcett, York’s leading independent wine merchant. www.fieldandfawcett.co.uk

“Congratulations Stobi – this is a brilliant bottle of wine! Made from the local Vranec grape it’s got a lovely punch to it with dark cherry, mocha and liquorice flavours. Lovely soft tannins and a hit of cassis. If you like your reds with flavour and poise then this is a must-try wine." Hennings Wine, a wonderful Sussex retailer with multiple shops, on the Stobi Vranec 2013. https://www.henningswine.co.uk/

“The Stobi Winery grows all its own grapes; 200 hectares of which are Vranec. The grapes are hand harvested before being gently crushed and fermented. The resulting wine has complex aromas of chocolate, liquorice and dark cherries. The ripe tannins and fresh acidity provide structure which I think makes this an excellent barbecue wine." London-based (and Decanter favourite) The Good Wine Shop on the Stobi Vranec. http://www.thegoodwineshop.co.uk/blog/index.php/stobiwines/

“A big rich brute of a wine featuring the single variety Petit Verdot, dark purple in colour with bags of dark berry fruits and dense mouth drying tannins. Lovely smooth texture, slightly on the sweet side, 14% alcohol and I loved it but not for the fainthearted.” Wine expert Dave Cronin gives our Petit Verdot 2011 8.5 Corks – thanks Dave!

“Lots of really nice cherryish fruits, juicy to the end, good acidity, polished tannin structure, a lovely wine to sip…” The lovely WinePagesTV reviews our Vranec 2011 and names it Wine of the Week
