Signature Wines Visits the Stobi Winery in Macedonia

Signature Wines sent their Business Development Manager to Macedonia this month to visit the Stobi Winery in addition to a Master of Wine and leading Wine PR agency, to taste the full selection of Stobi Wines available to the UK market.
Saignature said “Signature Wines was excited to find the Stobi Winery and keen to taste their wines to see if they would make a good fit for UK tastes. We are looking for new and exciting wines from undiscovered regions to add to the Signature Wines portfolio. Macedonia is relatively unknown, but with a recent buzz in the UK for wines from counties like Croatia and Slovenia, we were confident it could be the next big thing to hit the wine world in the UK”. “Stobi were excellent hosts and gave us a tour of the vineyards and the surrounding region, which is especially important to Stobi as it draws a lot of inspiration for the branding from the ancient historical ruins close by. We were also taken on a tour of the winery, treated to an impressive lunch in their own restaurant and taken to see their Barrique rooms. It was extremely important for Stobi to show us all the heritage of the wine and it was clear that this passion followed through in every stage of the wine making process.” As lunch finished, the experts were presented with a range of stunning Macedonia Stobi wines for tasting. All were extremely impressed with the Winery, production and most importantly the wines.
