The day started with a trip to Westbury Communication’s head office in London to review their PR and Marketing plan for 2014. This meeting gave Stobi the chance to see the wide range of marketing activities planned for the coming year as part of a strategy to raise the profile of the Stobi Wine brand in the UK. Planned trade events across the UK include the SITT 2014 on the 24th February in Manchester and the 26th February in London, alongside the Windsor Wine Buyers Forum which takes place in early March. The highlight of the year will be when Dane Jovanov, Winemaker and Director of Stobi Winery, comes to the UK for some 1-2-1 tastings with selected wine writers and trade feature writers. After lunch, the tour continued in London to visit some trade stores enabling Stobi to get a wide overview of the UK retail wine market.

A brief sightseeing opportunity on the South bank took in the colourful Borough Market, The Golden Hind and a stunning view of the Thames and city buildings. Early afternoon, Nikola Derebanov, General Manager and Lidija Trajkovska, Commercial Director from Stobi were introduced to Justin Howard Sneyd, a Master of Wine who is working with Signature Wines on the commercial aspects of bringing these quality wines to a price sensitive UK market. Round the table discussions highlighted a need to provide the UK market with a high quality wine at affordable prices from the Eastern Mediterranean region, something which the Stobi range of wines can fulfil with ease. Both Nikola and Lidija highlighted Stobi's philosophy was to supply great quality wines that everyone can afford easily. Later in the afternoon, the group were treated to a VIP tour of Vinopolis by Executive Manager Tom Forrest. Tom can be seen pictured below with Lidija, Nikola, Justin and the Signature team as they enjoyed the full Vinopolis Experience.Vinopolis is located within stunning Victorian railway arches of London Bridge and welcomes guests to take part in London’s premier wine tasting experience.  Our guests were also joined by Dee to sample a select range of wines from the 100+ available to enjoy.

After business concluded, our group took a trip up to the top of the Shard to enjoy the spectacular views of London by night. It was a great opportunity to raise a glass of champagne to toast the strong partnership between Signature Wines and Stobi. The evening was rounded off nicely with a wonderful meal at restaurant Roast close by, a last chance for the Signature Team and Stobi guests to relax and enjoy some social time together.
